Everyone is scared of it, everyone, who is at a nine to five job in India, don't know about other countries. It is a rule that if an employee comes after the deadline, mostly 10 o clock in a 9 to 5 shift, gets a red line on the register or the attendance book, and almost all get jitters from it as it means a salary cut for the day. To avoid this, people go a long way. Here are a few live examples:
1) My dad, a few years back, used to get his breakfast packed, and have it on the train. Haven't seen that happening that in the last few years.
2) When in my diploma college, my friends and I were waiting at the ground floor of our college building, to meet one of our professors. Well, he came rushing on his motor bike, we greeted him good morning, but he was in such a hurry that he didn't even look at us, and climbed the flight of stairs, four steps at a time. Well, we didn't realise at that moment, but when we went behind him, we saw him heaving a sigh of relief, he dodged the red line by a minute! What next, he went into his cabin as he opened his bag, took out his belt from the bag, and wore it. looking happy as ever !
Wishing you a Happy New Year ahead !!
