Quick Post 2

3 papers down, 2 to go.

This is what happen at the gym a few weeks ago:
I did my cardio and came to the weight training room for abdomen workout. Had to do side bends, so lifted two 15 Kg dumbbells (um, one for each hand), stood in front of the mirror, where every one stands for side bends, with the weights in my hands, and my shoulder drooping down cause of them. Suddenly the DJ (yes my gym has a DJ) started a kinda Indi-pop song, which made me forget that i was supposed to do abs. I started nodding my head with the song...the nods started turning into visible left and right of my head.....all in front of the mirror...when I regained consciousness, I found two kids giggling at me, and my instructor laughing behind. Where was I, haa, abs...ok..
dunno, next time I'll have to take care, or its ok some times ;-) !!

Quick Post

A quick update about my exams: Two papers are gone....Computer aided drawing/manufacturing - Finite Element analysis and Industrial Finance - E-commerce (yes they are two subjects, actually four sandwiched into two).
There have been new additions to my role model list. Gautam Singhania and John D. Rockefeller. Well, let me make it clear, what I mean by role model is, that the thoughts and/or the style of working and/or philosophies of these people are what i would like to follow in the future, and hence they are my Role Models. Will write about the new ones in later posts.
These days I have been seeing, or rather listening to sounds created by a few* motor bikes on Mumbai roads. These are essentially old engines, souped up by the garage mechanics to create an annoying rattling sound. Now what they feel is, by souping up with the fuel line ports, they make this sound, which similar to the one made by a 1000cc bike, but as an engineer, its very easy to identify that this rattling sound is because of the fuel igniting earlier than it should, which creates a knock on the cylinder head(s), damaging the already bruised engines. They do not realise that in the 1000cc engines, its their shear power which make the heavy wroom sound. Improper engineering.

Dialogues and more

Here are a few dialogues that my Dad and I laugh at whenever they are heard on television:

The first one goes like this. An Indian villain hands a glass to a Chinese smuggler, pours wine into it. The Chinese guy lets go of the glass and says his thing (with the much observable Chinese emphasis on the last word) :
"I do not DRINK,
I do BUSINESS,
You also talk only BUSINESS"

The other ones much hilarious
The hero of the movie is surrounded by a Russian dictator's troops, that dictator guy was in an armed helicopter, also armed with a mic and a loud speaker (this one with a Russian accent):
"Drop your weapons,
We will not hurt you if you do not run,
this is my last warning."
dhe dhe dhe dhe (machine guns, fired at a distance from the hero)

Out of all, the one which Dad loves are Bruce Lee's shrieks in Enter the Dragon, especially the last fight. He simply loves the concentration with which Lee attacks the opponent.

Last Sunday, a powerful, vociferous lightning struck my locality, and it destroyed all the converters of my Cable internet provider. This is the second time it happen this season. Good thing my computer was not turned on!
Hey, can this lightning problem be solved? Well, obviously can't stop lightning, am talking about protecting the converters from it.
